Santro - A family member

The one thing that has always kept me fascinating is automobiles. I used to wonder as a kid how these things used to work. We've been growing up with different kinds of vehicles like cars, bikes, buses, etc around us and I simply didn't used to get how is it possible for them to take us anywhere  we want or how fast we want to reach there or simply how is it even posible to move with just pushing the acceletor? These things always used to occupy my head whenever I used to travel in vehicles. But now growing up, everything has started to make sense and there is rather a scientific and mechanical technology behind it than some magical power of humans in their feet and hands.

So, as for my interest I wanted to know more about my dad's Hyundai Santro Zip Plus- which is now like a family member with its amazing service throughout the years in every situation of life whether the good times or the bad times.

According to my research, the Santro was a city car produced by the South Korean manufacturer Hyundai since 1997 and it flourished from 2000-2013. It was the first car in its class to feature a distinctive design for a hatchback and an electronic fuel injected engine. I personally love its rounded curved exterior which is still attractive as compared to some of the cars. For the interior, a little more sophisticated and a rounded shape for the dashboard would give more space and and would look even more attractive. But the space and comfort in the front and back is excellent. As  a personal experience, the engine performance is quite good and it drives pretty smooth on all gears with a mileage of 16km/l.

The Limousine

A limousine is a luxury sedan or a saloon car usually driven by a chauffeur and with a partition between the driver and the passenger compartment. Limousines often have a lengthened wheel base. Although usually, familiar with luxury vehicles, the word limousine is also a generic term for a standard sedan body style. It was originally an enclosed automobile with open driver's seat.It is named after a type of cloak and hood that was worn by the inhabitants of the Limousin region that later resembled the covering of a carriage and much later used to describe an automobile body with a permanent top that extended over the open driver's compartment. Limousines are the height of luxury when it comes to vehicle transport. They exude class and are guaranteed to turn heads wherever they are seen due to their sizable presence within a crowd. Limousines now though are accessible to all and are as likely to be being used by a group of friends travelling to their prom as they are a Ho...

THE CLASSICS! The Volkswagen Beetle

The Volkswagen Beetle is surely the dream car of my mom. She absolutely loves this vintage car and dreams about owning it one day. She believes that children are supposed to fulfill their parent's dream. A Volkswagen Beetle soon coming her way ( sarcasm in the air). The Volkswagen Beetle – officially the Volkswagen Type 1, informally in Germany the Käfer (German, "beetle") and in parts of the English-speaking world the Bug – is a two-door, four passenger, rear-engine economy car manufactured and marketed by German automaker Volkswagen (VW) from 1938 until 2003.  The need for this kind of car, and its functional objectives, was formulated by the leader of Nazi Germany, Adolf Hitler, who wanted a cheap, simple car to be mass-produced for his country's new road network. Hitler contracted Ferdinand Porsche in 1934 to design and build it. Porsche and his team took until 1938 to finalise the design. The influence on Porsche's design of other contemporary ...
