Hey Taxxi!

Taxis..the drives that are known for expensive fares  that take you to limited distance (well,  in case of Nepal) that comes with nice and comfortable drives. Who wouldn't wanna travel in a taxi? Actually who are the people that use taxi? I may have some answers for it below:

1.       People who would want a hassle free ride rather than a sophisticated and a packed local bus.
2.       People who always like to show up in time without constant stopping in bus stations every 5 minutes.
3.       People who are well, always late or a last minuter.
4.       People who are classy enough to not take a local bus.
5.       People who simply love to travel in taxi.

As much as taxis are necessary and come in handy, taxi safety is an important issue that is often over looked until a tragic event comes across the surface. There may have been hundreds of taxi - related crime reports that you're not aware of. Mostly,  cases of women being sexually assaulted late at night by reckless drivers seem to be the most reported crimes. To hear of such events are terrible and a woman always has to think a hudred times before getting into that taxi. So here are some tips we can use to safeguard ourselves and our society to avoid such cases:

·         Avoid unmarked taxi vehicle- Never get ito the unmarked vehice that offers  you a ride. You may think that its a godsend helping you out but it is one of the tricks that predators use. So always check for a registered logos in the taxi you choose to ride.
·         Have a buddy- Don't travel alone in a taxi as much as possible. Traveling with a companion reduces the risk by almost 80%.
·         Make phone calls- While traveling in a taxi, what you can do to safeguard yourself is to make a call during your ride and give all the details like the taxi no, color of taxi, where you're traveling. And make sure the driver hears it too
·         Call for a ride in advance- Have a reputable cab car company on hand that you can trust to avoid any mishaps.

Remember, as there are majority of taxies waiting to give their service that just wants you to reach to your destination safely, just be cautious of the impersonaters and questionable vehicles. Stay alert and safe taxi riders!

Santro - A family member

The one thing that has always kept me fascinating is automobiles. I used to wonder as a kid how these things used to work. We've been growing up with different kinds of vehicles like cars, bikes, buses, etc around us and I simply didn't used to get how is it possible for them to take us anywhere  we want or how fast we want to reach there or simply how is it even posible to move with just pushing the acceletor? These things always used to occupy my head whenever I used to travel in vehicles. But now growing up, everything has started to make sense and there is rather a scientific and mechanical technology behind it than some magical power of humans in their feet and hands. So, as for my interest I wanted to know more about my dad's Hyundai Santro Zip Plus- which is now like a family member with its amazing service throughout the years in every situation of life whether the good times or the bad times. According to my research, the Santro was a city car produced by ...

The Limousine

A limousine is a luxury sedan or a saloon car usually driven by a chauffeur and with a partition between the driver and the passenger compartment. Limousines often have a lengthened wheel base. Although usually, familiar with luxury vehicles, the word limousine is also a generic term for a standard sedan body style. It was originally an enclosed automobile with open driver's seat.It is named after a type of cloak and hood that was worn by the inhabitants of the Limousin region that later resembled the covering of a carriage and much later used to describe an automobile body with a permanent top that extended over the open driver's compartment. Limousines are the height of luxury when it comes to vehicle transport. They exude class and are guaranteed to turn heads wherever they are seen due to their sizable presence within a crowd. Limousines now though are accessible to all and are as likely to be being used by a group of friends travelling to their prom as they are a Ho...

THE CLASSICS! The Volkswagen Beetle

The Volkswagen Beetle is surely the dream car of my mom. She absolutely loves this vintage car and dreams about owning it one day. She believes that children are supposed to fulfill their parent's dream. A Volkswagen Beetle soon coming her way ( sarcasm in the air). The Volkswagen Beetle – officially the Volkswagen Type 1, informally in Germany the Käfer (German, "beetle") and in parts of the English-speaking world the Bug – is a two-door, four passenger, rear-engine economy car manufactured and marketed by German automaker Volkswagen (VW) from 1938 until 2003.  The need for this kind of car, and its functional objectives, was formulated by the leader of Nazi Germany, Adolf Hitler, who wanted a cheap, simple car to be mass-produced for his country's new road network. Hitler contracted Ferdinand Porsche in 1934 to design and build it. Porsche and his team took until 1938 to finalise the design. The influence on Porsche's design of other contemporary ...
